Programme
Chanje Kunda · Climate for Healing
Join Chanje to repurpose some of the 350 million tonnes of single-use plastic waste created every year. Wearing it, dancing with it, and creating art with it — Chanje brings focus to the need to ban single-use plastics.
Poet, performance artist, writer, and film-maker Chanje’s work explores 21st century life, and aims to use art as a tool to transform lives, shift consciousness, and bring joy.

Chicken Shop Hermits · My Haunted Dollhouse
What does it look like when memories fade away? … Glitter, maybe?
Exploring the meaning of home and family through dollhouses and the ghosts of the memories inhabiting them.
Created by Hector T.J. Huang & Chiara Scoglio, Chicken Shop Hermits is a puppetry & experimental theatre collective. By tackling themes of identity, belonging, and alienation, they combine interests in visual arts, writing, and puppetry theatre with their international origins.

Chris Sav · Action Prawn
Discover the world of Action Prawn, the mythical shrimp that defied the odds… Exploring the history of this folkloric crustacean (from humble origins to popular culture) through video, animation, and song, the adventures of Action Prawn are brought to life like never before.
A visual artist working in illustration, writing, and performance, Chris uses drawing as a tool to create imagined worlds and characters that playfully explore the inherent absurdities of everyday life.

Failed Artists Society
Meet Vincent Van Gosh, Luke Warm and Deadgar Allan Poe — three artists who cannot fathom why they are not succeeding. This is their plea to Z-arts and its patrons to recognise their obvious talents.
Eleanor Webster is a Welsh queer theatre-maker & writer — they love dressing up as their grandad, epic mythology, and writing gay poetry.
Emma Bourke is an emerging theatre-human who loves talking about herself and deconstructing stereotypes through autobiographical comedy.
Rose Wilson is a performance artist specialising in quirky, queer, and captivating performances that explore the lives of fascinating characters.

perfectly serviceable · Dancing Wizard
There’s a wizard in the building. They’re going to be casting spells all day. DANCE SPELLS!
See if you can find them, wiggling around and doing a magical hop. Are they trying to conjure something or someone? Are they turning grown-ups into frogs? Ask them to cast a spell or join in with the moves.
Lewys Holt is an interdisciplinary dance artist based in Leeds. They work as a dancer, choreographer, and curator, and have worked with New Art Club, Simone Mousset, Tino Sehgal, Rosemary Lee, Christopher Owen, among others.

Porcelain Delaney · Because I can
Instead of listening to other people’s ideas of what she can and can’t do, Porcelain performs a fun & acrobatic dance with her Zimmer Frame — simply because she can!
Porcelain is a disabled theatre-maker & performer. Recently selected to perform in the Liverpool Dance Prize, she loves creating new work and has previously performed in Dubai & Paris, and written for the BBC.

Being DaDa is lost… can you help Them find what Home means…
How do Worlds meet? And how do we get to know the Other when they may not speak any language?
Huddersfield-based Sohail makes work around heritage, the impacts of British colonialism, and ‘Otherness’, and has made work for SPILL and National Review Of Live Art.

Thomas Daniel Byrne, performed by Aimee Williamson · Blast Off!
A story of space travel, football, and friendship told through a beautifully illustrated ‘crankie’ scroll. A walkabout performance for two at a time — pop on some headphones and be transported…
Thomas is a Manchester-based performer, musician, and puppeteer, Aimee is a Lancashire-based dance artist who loves folklore; together they make work for young people that is kind, highly visual, and immersive.
