Presented by Word of Warning + Z-arts
Playful, quirky, engaging, and sometimes plain daft: Haphazard is for kids and their adults, adults and their adults — anyone looking for a different day out!
In 2023 we saw lasers, slinkies, silver birds, woolly jellyfish, and a shower of confetti… join us to see what 2024 might bring.
A free Live Art takeover of Z-arts on Saturday 27 July from 1pm to 4pm. Turn up at any time, come and go as you please… and expect the unexpected!

About
Haphazard is our frequent foray into ‘all ages’ Live Art, with intriguing images and offbeat oddities dotted around and about Hulme’s historic Z-arts building.
This seventh edition will present about ten works — we’ve previously seen ping pong balls & squeaky toys; singing fish & a sax-playing bear; paintball golf & human quoits; a giant periscope, a golden toilet, and a tiny bee-shaped world…
Get a feel for it by looking at image galleries from 2023, 2019, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2013 — and programmes from 2023, 2019, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2013.
