More
Lording it over western thought and stereotype, this show is a frenzied right of passage which is as enthusiastic as it is volatile.
Casting herself in all the main roles, Lucy will attempt to re-connect to her own moral conscience by re-enacting old biblical stories via a nu-wave holy trinity of dance, power ballads and performance art. With trademark absurdism and enthusiasm, Lucy puts her best foot forward in the face of existential deadlock.
Who is she?
Lucy performs club installations, cabaret interventions and performance art plays at venues around the UK.
She is co-founder of GETINTHEBACKOFTHEVAN, touring extensively with them to venues throughout Europe.
GETINTHEBACKOFTHEVAN is at the forefront of Britain’s new breed of artists — Robert Pacitti, SPILL Festival
Lucy is also a freelance performer and has worked with Tim Etchells, Lauren Bari Holstein, David Hoyle, Dickie Beau, Scottie, Richard DeDomenici + Thomas Graves of Texan-based drag act Christeene.
What people have said about her
…a phenomenally watchable performer… With McCormick, anything is a possibility. She floats on the present moment, and there’s no knowing how far she’ll go.
Matt Trueman
…hilarious, shocking and profound…
